Tom/Thomas
[edit]Although the following is from primary records it appear he was born Tom and changed his name at some point to use Claude, non of these sources use Thomas:
- 1853 index of births for June 1853 quarter "Tom Claude Stanfield Moore, Nottingham, 7b 228".
- 1861 Census of Nottingham "Tom Claude S Moore, son, unmarried, male, aged 7, born Nottingham.
- 1871 Census of Nottignham "Tom Claude Stanfield Moore, son, unmarried, male, aged 17, Apprentice Lithographer, born Nottingham"
- 1881 Census of Nottingham "Claude T S Moore, son, single, male, aged 27, artist, born Nottingham"
- 1891 Census of Nottingham "Tom C S Moore, son, single, male, aged 37, artist marine, born Nottingham".
- 1901 index of deaths for June 1901 quarter "Claude Tom S Moore, age 47, Nottingham, 7b 195". All counts for original research but here for the record. MilborneOne (talk) 16:49, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Revision of 29th April 2012
[edit]The article has been rearranged to incorporate evidence resulting from further research, with care to preserve the original material, although some references have been changed, where more appropriate ones have been found. The scope of the article has been widened to include a little more about Claude's father and brother, who were also both artists, whilst keeping Claude Thomas Stanfield Moore as the focal point of the article. I also noticed the re-ordering of Claude's given names and the abbreviation to Tom; it is unfortunate that he has two initials in common with his father but signatures, from his material, which I have on record, are quite distinctive, see signature comparisons, while link is open. The Edit Summary box was completed, after editing the article but my summary has not appeared anywhare; I expected it to appear in the Page History. What have I done wrong? Please be kind, I am only a novice Wickipedian. Brianheason (talk) 10:52, 30 April 2012 (UTC)
