This article is basically about a light novel that gets an anime adaptation. But the article's name "Classroom of the Elite" is the official English title for the anime series not for the light novel, and the light novel is not published into English yet. So this article's name is suppose to be "Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e". Phoenix God (talk) 17:16, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to propose a change to the translation of the Japanese title (unless it comes from an official source, which I doubt).
The Jitsuryoku Shijōshugi phrase is essentially a portmanteau of two Japanese phrases: jitsuryokushugi ("meritocracy") and shijōshugi ("supremacism")—which is incorrectly translated as "supremacy" currently. Thus, I propose it be called "Welcome to the Classroom of Meritocratic Supremacism" or "Welcome to the Classroom of Merito-Supremacism." Aberration (talk) 22:16, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
