Statements about other editors' faiths or ethnicity or similar are not only irrelevant, but say way more about the speaker than anyone else.
Updating text to reflect what the sources actually support is not "destruction" or an indication of "bigotry". Suggestion otherwise says more about the editor making such a claim than anyone else.
I have not been involved in the "destruction" of any article. This one or any others. Suggestion that I have (or claims about perceived motives) is laughable. And counter to WP:GOODFAITH, WP:NPA and related policies.
Reflecting the sources is what is relevant. Per WP:RS and WP:VER.
The linked source (a statement from representatives of the Servant Sisters of the Home of the Mother) is clearly worded, reflects Catholic doctrine on prayers for intercession, and does not suggest that visiting the subject's grave is a condition on such intercession. Or increases the chances of intercession.
The statement clearly states that "It [intercession] depends on one's Faith in God and on whether or not it His will to respond to this particular petition and to permit Sr. Clare to intercede". Full stop. Not "also [visiting grave]". Just faith/God's will/petition.
If the editor involved can provide a source to support the inclusion of the proposed wording (or variants of that wording), then they should please provide it. The current source does not support its inclusion. And, engaging in personal attacks as an alternative to discussion or improving sources sourcing is unhelpful. And against project norms. And, indeed, norms beyond the project... Guliolopez (talk) 23:52, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but I never meant to mean a visit to her grave was part of what the sisters said. I honestly think you were taking a non-standard meaning to what I wrote, but sorry if I unfairly accused you. I think we were totally misunderstanding each other there. Rowaves (talk) 00:14, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. That is the reason I invited you to the Talk page. More than once. As expected by convention and WP:BRD. In all honesty, even if my edit summaries weren't clear, I don't know how you went from this to this. While you appear to be new to Wikipedia, and while I've already drawn your attention to them, please give WP:GOODFAITH and WP:NPA another read through. You may note some overlaps with Luke 6:31. Anyway, we got there in the end.... Guliolopez (talk) 00:30, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
