Pose plastique photo caption
[edit]All evidence that I have seen indicates that Clara Ward's theatrical career did not begin until after her marriage to Rigó Jancsi. For that reason, a photo date of "about 1905" seems more appropriate than "late 1890's". Also, although the costume may well have been "flesh-colored", the now sepia toned picture can only show us that it was light or dark. I have changed the photo caption to reflect this. "Johnny Blackbird"
[edit]a) His name is not generally translated into English. b) Most Hungarian names *can* be translated but they aren't. János Kádár doesn't mention that his name is John Cooper. c) If there is a connection between "blackbird" and "chocolate" state it and cite it. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 16:09, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
N.Y. Times Obituary of December 19, 1916
[edit]I am just writing the article for the German WP, and I've come across this [1] obituary. The dates given here seem to me quite plausible (e.g. 1904 for Clara's third marriage) but I hesitate to change the article. Some sources also affirm that Clara shot herself. Is that true? And why is she categorized as a prostitute if the article does not say so? Thanks for adding the information from the obituary. I deleted the unreferenced "American prostitute" category. Tim Ross (talk) 21:11, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
