The tile is Classen's law, but all internal mention say Claasen's law. Which is it?--Klausok (talk) 10:32, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Megabytes need love too

[edit]

The example of 128MB vs. 256MB of memory seems to ignore the fact that a megabyte is a measure of quantity as well as quality. That is, what is the relative quality between 512KB and 1MB? Thus the doubling of the utility of 128MB requires 16 petabytes, or 2^54 bytes. I leave it as an exercise for the interested student what would be required to double the utility of a vehicle, given the parameters of capacity, top speed in miles per hour, and cost per mile. I imagine that an SST might qualify, but it would be a squeaker. TheLastWordSword (talk) 20:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Diminishing marginal utility

[edit]

This seems to be a special case of the law of diminishing marginal utility, maybe some source out there made the connection. Paradoctor (talk) 09:05, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
