Castro, castro and The Castro

[edit]

Hi. I may need to read the article a bit deeper, but I see that there are dispirate uses of the word "castro" here. Some seem to refer to the Castro people. Some seem to use it to mean "town" (when lowercase) - is that a translation artifact? Dictionary.com does not list this as a definition for "castro". An explanatory sentence, or corrections, would be a great help for the article. Thanks. --NightMonkey 20:14, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • maybe are just errors.
    • the problem is the translation into English. In Portuguese and Spanish, Castro people are "povo castrejo" or "povo castreño", and the culture "cultura castreja/castreña". that would be Castrean culture?!

The settlement is "castro". Though the word castro is applied for small settlements.--Pedro 00:35, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
