I've removed this comment, "Citronellol is a specially allergic inducing component and should be avoided", because it is unsourced and non-NPOV. If a reliable source concerning the ability of citronellol to induce allergies can be found, it should be added back in (as a more neutral statement). --Ed (Edgar181) 17:37, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Citronellol vs. Rhodinol
[edit]I am totally confused. The wikipage for Citronellol describes the two isomeres (R)-(+)-Citronellol and (L)-(-)-Citronellol but the figure apparently only shows the (R)-(+)-Citronellol. The figure on the wikipage for Rhodinol seems to be equal to what I would expect for (L)-(-)-Citronellol. If (L)-(-)-Citronellol is equal to Rhodinol, it should be mentioned in the text. Is it true? - Thanks for any info! Antonindvorak (talk) 11:44, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Rhodinol has a different position for the double bond, so it is structurally different. -- Ed (Edgar181) 11:49, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
