Bob Bruno
[edit]I wonder whatever happened to Bob Bruno? He had a world of talent. Walker of course had a solo career. 03:19, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know, and the name is common enough that Google won't be much use unless you find something very specific. You might write to Jerry Jeff Walker and ask: he probably knows, and I'd think it's pretty likely he would answer. - Jmabel | Talk 08:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I did email the Jerry Jeff Walker site, and whoever replied was not at all cooperative. They didn't know anything about Bruno, and wrote that Walker was not there to respond either. Kind of huffy about it. Maybe they had a falling out at the time the band split up.
'Wind' was more than a West Coast hit. It got some regular airplay on WBCN in Boston, then 'the' radio station of the day, playing protest and acid rock music. It was popular on some college stations as well. The song had a very memorable hook and a great jazz-rock feel, not unlike songs like 'The Low Spark of High-heeled Boys' and 'Moondance'. There seemed to have been a rather obvious splice of the piano solo into the song though.
Revision
[edit]I changed the reference from the West Coast to the US, as it was a hit in the northeast as well, and possibly other areas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.105.146 (talk) 21:05, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
The followup (and last) album 'Neverland Revisited' was somewhat disappointing despite much higher production values than the debut album. The title cut and 'Hansel and Gretel' got some airplay, but neither had the appeal of 'Wind'.
I always thought Bruno could have been a big talent in either pop or jazz, but I never heard any more about him. I wonder if he got out of the music business altogether.
Fair use rationale for Image:Circus Maximus Neverland Revisited.jpg
[edit]Image:Circus Maximus Neverland Revisited.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. This link raises the question why the article on Bob Bruno was deleted. It seems he has had a fairly significant career. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.12.201 (talk) 00:21, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
