Yes, Somebody needs to put back up the page and put it under singles. (Cprice1000 16:23, 14 July 2010 (UTC)) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cprice1000 (talk • contribs)
Unusual You CD Release
[edit]Unusual You was released "Officially" to stores in Australia as a single (info can be viewed on the Unusual You Page). But should we put it under The official release section because it was released officially, just to Australia only. Or should we put it under "Promotional Releases" seeing as it was only released to a certain part of the world, however, it wasnt a promo single, it was a Official release. Like P!nk's Bad Influence. And also the same as P!nk, Unusual You was also released at the approx same time as her tour in Australia. Maybe for the same reasons. So could someone please help me figuring out where to place Unusual You now thats its more than just a Notable Release. Thank - You--Jackex56 (talk) 09:14, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- I think it should be place under The official release just because it fits more than just a radio promo but its exactly like Pinks bad influence.--Apeaboutsims (talk) 09:16, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Unusual You Radio Release
[edit]I know that there was a page for unusual you put on. and i feel that there also wasn't enough evidence to leave it up, as it was only confirmed by one site that didn't really have any background information. But i was in the car yesterday, and it came up on the radio. So even if it hasn't been released as a single, its a track on the album that is getting airplay. so do you think we should put the page back up because its still getting airplay, (Like Kylie Minogue's Fever Single). I understand that its not alot of evidence, but i will try and record the song on the radio on my mp3 radio thingy! Just thought it was something to bring up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apeaboutsims (talk • contribs) 04:10, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
i found it! i was recording the radio and it came on! The file inst good quality as it was recorded from the radio. it was recorded from the station 101.9 Fox. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Apeaboutsims (talk • contribs) 08:08, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

i dont think this is right --Jackex56 (talk) 08:36, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
dont worry. i believe you now. i went on the 101.9 webpage and i saw this
. so i believe you know and this should be put under notable songs because its getting airplay! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jackex56 (talk • contribs) 08:49, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
so should we make the page again? --Apeaboutsims (talk) 08:56, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, maybe the page "Unusual You" should be re-created. --PlatinumFire 15:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Rumoured 4th single
[edit]"Lace and Leather" removed from the template until someone can come up with a valid source. For now, it is just a rumour and a very unlikely one at that. Slowpoke (talk) 13:49, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Shattered Glass isn't a single?
[edit]The Britney Spears Singles template says that "Shattered Glass" is a 4th single, which is ofc, wrong. As well as this but its actually a link to the film Shattered Glass, can someone fix please? --86.26.110.119 (talk) 11:33, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Will do. — R2 17:56, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
Blackout was sold in 3.2. million copies and here it says that Circus was sold in 3 million, more that it's predecessor. WTF??? Who wrote this? And where is information about Circus being sold in 6 million copies from yesterday? I cannot believe that there is no relevant information about Circus since January! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.1.178.203 (talk) 11:21, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
4 million? Oh come on! The album sold more than 1,5 mill. in USA alone! The sales must stand on 6-7 millions! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.138.80.74 (talk) 19:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Live performances
[edit]She also did 2 performances in Japan which aren't mentioned in the article. Someone should put that in Evolution7931 (talk) 04:50, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sources? — R2 04:52, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
She performed on Hey Hey Hey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BG2Ut_o5AvI Also on NTV Music Awards, but I don't have that link...you can find it there, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.130.253.32 (talk) 01:08, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Circus highest spot on Finland's Top 40 albums

An updated source/sales number will probably show up once Radar is up and running on the air waves. I'll keep an eye out. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier.) 07:30, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

- Not a reliable source in this circumstance. It's a post on a forum of the LA Times site that was started by somebody called "musicboy". Certainly not a professional music journalist, and he didn't mention where he got those numbers. Not official. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 07:05, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]i don't think it should be listed as a bonus track because 1.its a single 2.it is in all of the circus editions —Preceding unsigned comment added by Giladspears (talk • contribs) 15:26, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Chart Position Greece
[edit]Circus clearly still isn't number 1 on the Greek International Chart, I don't know if she even topped it, the source given leads to the current album chart. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.107.210.203 (talk) 23:47, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Kill The Lights is the fifth single?
[edit]Are we sure we want to list this song as the fifth single right away? Technically her site didn't say the song was going to be released as an official single. All it said was that these are still pictures from the upcoming "fan-inspired" video for the song - however that may just mean a video will be made to Kill The Lights, not the song being officially released as a single. Although that may very well not be the case. I don't know, I just find it kinda confusing considering the fact that, again, it's not listed on the site or anywhere else that 'KTL' will be the fifth single. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 01:11, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- Apparently it's just a promo "single". Removed from infobox. — R2 01:14, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
i agree. this song was never announced as the fifth single. and if we are going by the votes on the website, "Unusual You" is currently in the lead. this should be changed, its very misleading. the fifth single remains unannounced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.0.95.132 (talk) 03:11, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
KTL is no promo or single
[edit]Kill the Lights is not the 5th single off of Circus, and it's not a promotional single either.
The song will only have a fan made animated video. Britneyspears.com just showed some stills from the video it didn't said anything about being a single or promo. So please can anyone correct this error. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alberto Morales (talk • contribs) 17:29, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
Britney Spears Tour Date, misspelled
[edit]Britney Spears performed in Ohio In COLUMBUS, in the article it is spelled "colombus". This is incorrect the show was in "Columbus, OH." Columbus is the 15 largest city in the US and was the only Ohio date for the hour. The misspelling is under the revenue section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Streetcreed (talk • contribs) 19:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
US SALES as of AUGUST 2009
[edit]I'm sure it did sell about 1,575,000 copies according to Neilsen SoundScan as of June or July something. But can I know "Circus" sales as of August...i think it's already around 1.7 millions....please cite sources —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adelbutt123 (talk • contribs) 07:47, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
Addiotional Promotion For Circus
[edit]Some promotional appearance are clearly missing, I added this up! She was promoting Circus in this shows.
Britney premiered "Circus" song on the Big Apple Circus at the "Good Morning America" in New York, on December 2, 2008 she also performed "Womanizer" there.

I also added mixed reactions of her performance according to critics:
On December 15, 2008, Britney visited the popular musical variety show in Japan, "Hey! Hey! Hey!" and performed "Womanizer".
On December 16th, she performed on NTV Japan's-3000 "Best Artist of 2008"

RADAR' made it to the Hot 100 Chart!
[edit]According to Billboard Magazine the song debuted on #90 on the US Hot 100 Chart, making Spears the most Hot 100 songs from Circus album. The song also sits at #30 on the US Pop Songs Chart. It also debuted number #78 on the Canadian Hot 100 Chart...!source —Preceding unsigned comment added by Adelbutt123 (talk • contribs) 05:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi all concerned. I will be reviewing this article according to the GA criterias. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:35, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Quick fail criteria
[edit]Prose
[edit]- Not done From the middle of the article, especially from the singles part, the whole article starts getting fancrufty with unnecessary details of the singles as per WP:UNDUE. This continues in the chart performance section. We really don't need to learn what each and every week sales of the album were. This is pure fancruft. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Verifiability
[edit]- Not done Pray tell me how bravotv, cdon, Digital Spy, The Mirror, PopJustice are reliable? The article is filled with such references which are deemed unreliable. Also, many of them are not at all formatted. There is no consistency in the article. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
MoS compliance
[edit]- Not done No MoS compliance at all as per WP:ALBUM.--Legolas (talk2me) 09:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Links validity check
[edit]- Not done per this link the article is filled with dead and dubious links. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Check for disambiguation and other dubious wikilinks
[edit]- Not done per this link there are so many dubious wikilinks present.
I'm sorry to say that I have to fail this article as it doesnot pass the Quick-fail criterias. Please improve these points as stated above, and then re-nominate the article. --Legolas (talk2me) 09:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually, circus already sold 2.2 millions in USA. The fact the Nielsen doesn`t compute all the sales, only the major ones like Itunes and amazon. Worldwide the album already sold 6 millions, 3 mi more than blackout like estimateS sony/bmg. I don`t know who write that information, but they need to be update, contacting Sony/Jive records to get the correct number. Britney is one of the artists that still sells a lot of physical album around USA and the world and most of them are not associate to Nielsen. Besides if you verify the Charts and certifications section they don`t have the numbers from Europe which means 1.5 millions, Brazil 250.000 thousands and a lot of other Countries are in Blank in the section, things that were already updated in the Portuguese version of the site. According that version, she sold 6 millions worldwide with confirmation of Sony and 2.2 at USA and it makes sense since they have updated with high numbers from Brazil,Europe, France, Italy(200.000) and Mexican(200.000). As we see all those information confirmed that Circus sold more than this article says! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.91.123.32 (talk) 18:09, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
I was trying to change the number in the worldwide sales section in certifications and lost it and now can't get it back. Will someone change it for me please sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.7.200.26 (talk) 17:11, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Out From Under
[edit]I know this is a cover. It's been performed by 2 other singers (Ali Campbell and Joanna Pacitti, I'm not really sure who is the original singer). They wouldn't let me change it though. Someone should mention this in the article

The single was released as a single. I think an article must be put up. There is a page for Anticipating, which was released only in France. Zacharee (talk) 21:09, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
- Official confirmation of a CD single release here. Then we have a video game franchise report that Unusual You managed to peak at No.19 on the ARIA Physical Singles Chart (a chart of music based on CD Single purchases) in October 2009. Since it charted on the other charts as well, it should have an article. Especially if "Unusual You' manged to reach 19 on the ARIA charts.--Apeaboutsims (talk) 02:40, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Look here also. It's the official page for Unusual You on the music chart network.--JackSUNxD (talk) 07:35, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
