Incorrect circuit diagram
[edit]Beyond the first six, the diagram has the wrong numbers against all the corners. The one shown as (7) is 8, (8) is 9, (9) is 11, (10) is 12 and (11) is 14. Turn 7 is the kink after turn (6), Turn 10 is the right kink between (8) and (9), and turn 13 is the curve between (10) and (11). (The brackets refer to the corners as shown on the existing diagram.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.107.91.41 (talk) 23:26, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
lap record
[edit]Regarding the unofficial lap record, the article currently has kimi raikkonen as holding the lap record of 1.09, however, on radio 5 live on august 22nd 09, Anthony Davidson claimed he held the record of 1.08, setting it in a Honda, sometime around 2005. Anyone able to verify this?94.193.10.120 (talk) 09:53, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
have found a link on autosport giving the time of 1.08.540, by Anthony Davidson in a Honda in 2006. http://www.autosport.com/f1/testing/ - I'm gonna update the page appropriately. 94.193.10.120 (talk) 20:13, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- Testing, like qualifying, does not count towards the lap record. Davidson can claim as fast a lap as he likes, they can run any specification of illegal car that they want in private testing. Lap records have to come from race laps. --Falcadore (talk) 20:17, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- goood point and one that I wasn't aware of, I've made it clear that davidsons lap is the unofficial lap record (previously it gave kimi raikkoenen the 'unofficial' record) and I won't tough the racing lap record. I presume you agree with this as you haven't changed the article. :) 94.193.10.120 (talk) 18:27, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Circuit de Valencia → Circuit Ricardo Tormo — Per WP:COMMONNAME. Circuit de Valencia is not used as often as Circuit Ricardo Tormo, due to confusion with the Valencia Street Circuit. Both WTCC and World Superbikes use Circuit Ricardo Tormo on their websites. Autosport uses 'Valencia Ricardo Tormo' to avoid confusion with street circuit. - mspete93 [talk] 19:10, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- Just go ahead and do it. Circuit Ricardo Tormo is the track's formal name anyway. --Pc13 (talk) 11:26, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Typical lap times
[edit]I have removed this table as it is full of conflicting data. Firstly, typical lap times - by having the fastest qualfiying laps these are anything but typical.\, need to look up a dictionary as to what typical means.
When refering to most significant laps recorded at a race track they are called lap records, and these laps are only laps which have been recorded in races. Qualifying laps have never counted towards lap records. So by listing lap times considered less important, without citing them as to their importance, you are essentially listing lap times which you *think* are important and providing no foundation for that. This is NOT the wikipedia way.
Not the disparity between the "typical lap time" for LMP racing cars compared to the offical lap record? --Falcadore (talk) 18:24, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
