Which century?
[edit]The article includes this line:
- The date for entries is estimated at the end of the 11th century BCe between -216 and -150.
The 11th century seems to be surprisingly early. I'm not aware that there would be any Greek or Italic inscriptions of such an early date (apart from Mycenean).
The corresponding Italian article has this information:
- Risale al II secolo a.C., probabilmente al 120-110 a.C.
(My translation: The Cippus goes back to the 2nd century BC, probably to 120-110 BC.)
Which date is correct? (A Roman numeral II can look deceivingly similar to an Arabic numeral 11.) -- Martinus KE (talk) 17:24, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
Can I quote from Buck (1904)
[edit]Wiki says: "As of January 1, 2024, all published works from 1928 and before are public domain." So I'm gonna assume it's ok.
