Decomposition

[edit]

The Synthesis section contains this line: " Cinnamaldehyde decomposes to benzaldehyde at temperatures around 60 °C.[14]". This seems inconsistent with the boiling point of 248C shown in the info panel, and could use correction or further explanation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.181.202.130 (talk) 18:28, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to remove this statement previously, but upon reading the paper, I removed it again. Some editor really wanted this statement included (possibly an author on the paper). --Smokefoot (talk) 18:49, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oxygen-Sulfur bond

[edit]

The biosynthesis figure is wrong - acyl-CoA's don't have an oxygen-sulfur bond — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.86.70.151 (talk) 22:22, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cinnamaldehyde content is wrong

[edit]

Cinnamaldehyde content in cinnamon oil is not 90%, but usually in the range of 60-80%, higher in cassia cinnamon than true (Ceylon) cinnamon https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0926669012002622 Realdoctorstu (talk) 15:22, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
