Article needs cleanup
[edit]This article could stand to be organized a bit more, and definitely needs to be more thorough. It is very random, and kind of confusing. Unfortunately, I'm not really an expert on the subject, so I've added a couple flags, including a reference to Wikiproject: Arthropods. Discuss! Gitman 18:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- THIS ARTICLE HAS AN ORKINA ADVERT LINKED AS ONE OF THE CITED SOURCES! Cicadas in Ancient Greece. Please fix! 2605:59C8:7085:CF10:C8B2:849C:E956:FC4F (talk) 18:09, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
Section on Native American Folklore moved here
[edit]This section recently added does not seem well developed enough to actually be present in the article:
- See the story {source unknown} whereby Man was taught by an Earthly diety to string-together the Cicada and Raven for the purpose forcing them two to speak with Man regarding {subjects unknown}. [1]
Maybe the author can flesh it out here before adding it again. HorsePunchKid (talk) 17:01, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
