stuff is creeping back in
The previous disputed stuff is creeping back in. I'll be removing it later if nobody objects. Phearson (talk) 05:18, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
The reason they are so popular? Anyone? Because Kurt Cobain wore them, come on this is well known and accepted as the reason why they are so popular now. Go to Seattle and see how many flannels and Chuck Taylors you see. And because Seattle is such an influential city, partly because of Kurt Cobain as well; really the whole grunge movement, their style has really caught on. To deny this would be to ignore the truth. I am not trying to just cite some famous person that wore them but someone who brought them back to style.
- How about: they're popular because fashions just come and go over time? Sometimes they die out but come back later on. On the other hand, as a resident of Seattle I can tell you that hardly anybody local wears the Chucks/flannel combination these days. The standard-issue chucks-with-flannel uniform is effectively the same as a big stamp on the wearer's forehead that screams "DUMB TOURIST" or "I'M FROM CALIFORNY/NOO YAWK (pick one)". This isn't 1994 any more, the grunge fad (thankfully) kicked the bucket a decade and a half ago and is as good as dead.

- Yeah, right. You'd understand if you'd actually spent any significant amount of time in Seattle. A response like that clearly indicates you haven't.
