Reformatting article

[edit]

I used the Novel template and put the existing stub into that format. I also added an infobox about Christy. I am going to try and keep adding to the article, but it'll be slow because I haven't done an article before. I would really appreciate suggestions. Does anyone know a good way to look up information about old first editions? Thanks a lot Acris (talk) 00:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot

[edit]

I was trying to do a plot summary, but it's incomplete. The ending's not touched on, and characters such as Bird's Eye, Lundy, Fairlight, and Opal aren't mentioned. Lawikitejana (talk) 23:24, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I was prevented from adding a Rootsweb link for the following, under the section
Allusions to history, geography, and science

The fictional village of Cutter Gap is based on a community centered on the Chapel Hollow[5] in the small Morgan Branch valley (NOT to be confused with Morgan Branch), a few miles west of Del Rio in Cocke County, Tennessee.[6] Local landmarks associated with the story are marked for visitors, including the site of the Ebenezer Mission in Chapel Hollow.[1]

My Rootsweb link simply contains photos of the landmarks, which is easily veriable; couldn't this be allowed? Especially considering that as it stands now, there is no verification whatsoever of this statement.

I am not Carolyn Whitaker, don't know her and I am not trying to plug her website. NAMASTE and thank you! PB57 (talk) 21:02, 14 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
