First name appearing in article
[edit]Before anyone makes a fuss about it, I've put Christopher Polhammar as the first name in the article, follwing the same style as Carolus Linnaeus, where the name which the person was born under comes first.

Latin or no Latin
[edit]The original stub I found here before editing suggested that Polhem didn't know any Latin, this Essay written by a upper secondary school student says the opposite. It's not a credible source, but it still questions the fact, I'm putting it on the talk page until a valid reference can be found:
- Considered to be one of the great people within the field of mechanics, although remains largely unknown due to not being able to read and write Latin, thus limiting his audience to speakers of Swedish.

Bank note
[edit]Swedish bank notes need to be obfuscated when printed, according to Swedish law.
It could look like this Image:Fem kronor Sweden.jpg for example, of Gustav Vasa.

- Done, I think I've seen untagged notes elsewhere, better go after them as well. Obli (Talk) 21:38, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Gabriel Polhem
[edit]It is obviously untrue that Gabriel Polhem supervised the completion of the Göta Canal in 1832, given that he died in 1772, so I've removed that statement. David ekstrand (talk) 22:32, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
