[edit]Please add a picture of Dr.Einolf. 98.46.9.113 (talk) 00:16, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- While it is possible to add a {{requested photo}} tag to the top of this talk page I would be more interested in finding out if this article is suitable for Wikipedia. As the creator, @Buidhe, could you shed some light on the matter? WP:PROF springs to mind and the article has zero independent reliable sources for the content. - Commander Keane If you look at the footnotes, there are many reviews of the subject's books cited. These are independent sources and count towards WP:AUTHOR. I have never met Mr. Einolf and therefore have no picture of him. (t · c) buidhe 02:16, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Buidhe but the article has zero content references (and nearly zero content). I am confused by your argument, so I think an deletion discussion may clarify the situation. Commander Keane (talk) 02:31, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Commander Keane What's a "content reference"? If you're new here, notability is determined by the sources that exist, not those cited in the article—let alone a specific part of the article. AfD would be a waste of time since it's an obvious keep. (t · c) buidhe 02:33, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Buidhe, I am not new here, no. I think I see your point, the guy has had a lot of reviews of his publications so there probably are sources out there to fill in information about him. I was thinking per the WP:NPEOPLE nutshell,
You saying "they have received" extends to "works they have made have received"? Maybe. I just don't see the point of having an article about Christopher J. Einolf if there is no way to get content about him. As you suggest, that content may exist. I would be fine with List of works by Christopher J. Einolf, not sure about the practice of having a list of works from a non-notable person though. And it would be a list with no wikilinks as none of the works themselves are notable (unless you are saying they deserve an article each)."A person is presumed to be notable if they have received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject."
- If you have another example of an article with this situation please let me know, particularly if it has gone through a deletion discussion. Commander Keane (talk) 03:04, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have read Wikipedia:Notability (people) again and I think it has cleared up the matter, you are correct. I will add the requested photo template. Commander Keane (talk) 03:10, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
