Notability

[edit]

This is a borderline case. [1] is good. [2] is an WP:INTERVIEW. [3] is potentially not WP:INDEPENDENT. Other sources cited lack WP:SIGCOV. I optimistically assume more sources could be found if this goes to WP:AFD. ~Kvng (talk) 15:40, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for creating this article! Two minor notes: I have removed the two statements that cited IMDb, as IMDb is not a reliable source. Additionally, per the second bullet point in MOS:LINKSTYLE, section headers should not themselves be wikilinked, instead, a {{main article}} should be placed directly after the section header. Other than those two small things, the article looks great!.

@HouseBlaster, thank you for improving the article. Are you suggesting that these sorts of issues need to be addressed by the original authors or as articles pass through NPP or AFC? ~Kvng (talk) 14:49, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Kvng: For IMDb, I would say that it is the responsibility of both the original author and the reviewer, given it is an unreliable source and this is a BLP. As for MOS:LINKSTYLE, it is a minor issue and not really the "responsibility" of anyone. I just happened to see it and decided to volunteer to WP:JUSTFIXIT. After I made those changes, I figured I would use the built-in feedback option to deliver a quick message to the author just to let them know what I had changed, as a no-fault FYI. @HouseBlaster, it is generally appreciated that when you assign responsibility to two people, a common outcome is that neither takes responsibility. ~Kvng (talk) 14:27, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Kvng: I would say it is akin to copyvios. It is the job of a reviewer to check for copyvios, and to fix them if they exist. However, just because a reviewer is responsible for checking does not mean the original author can completely ignore copyright concerns. I apply the same line of thinking to BLP issues.
