Parents birth country

[edit]

The article said her parents were Dutch from their Netherlands. It’s a very common misconception that they are the same country. Whilst, the BBC article cited by the writer says they were Danish. Given her surname and the BBC saying she disguised it as a trip to visit family I believe she was Danish American. 2600:4040:AB3B:E000:2DBE:555F:AD71:875E (talk) 16:55, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

She was Danish and she made this quite clear in her published diary in 1070. Spenser - The Unknown (talk) 21:11, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete or add source for "She also wrote a Scandinavian cookbook." and move it to the section "Books." Starling1469 (talk) 23:02, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done There was no source to begin with for it, I just removed She also wrote a Scandinavian cookbook, I don't see how it was that relevant to begin with. Seawolf35 T--C 23:34, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

what's with the deadnaming?

[edit]

Is an old assigned name that she changed to reflect who she really is really that important? CuteScribbles (talk) 03:22, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. A deadname should only be mentioned where required, if a person was notable under such name. A deadname should not be mentioned just for the sake of it. See MOS:GENDERID.
From my understanding, Christine Jorgensen was not notable under her former name. Urthurao (talk) 03:32, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong date

[edit]

The intro says drafted in 1944 but the body says 1945. One is wrong. 70.161.8.90 (talk) 13:52, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Christine Jorgensen's deadname is mentioned within this article. I believe it should not be included, as she was not notable under her former name. See MOS:GENDERID.

There are two mentions of her deadname in this article. The first reference of her deadname provides a link to an article that states her name and her deadname, without providing any information about her life under her deadname. The second mention has a reference that is not available for me to view in my region (Australia). Urthurao (talk) 03:39, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
