Notability

[edit]

I also disagree with the General Notability concern that is mentioned for Christina. I'm a fan of her interior design tips and I follow her on social media and her blog. I think she's great! Her page should stay although I agree more information about her on her own page would be great! We had a debate in our house about how old she was (I won, my husband didn't). More info about Christina please we love her! As for the assertion that she does not meet the notability criteria for Wikipedia, I respectfully disagree - for WP:ENT she is an actor in the third season of a popular TV show, she has amassed an enormous cult following (just ask any working Mom who loves interior design and check out her following on social media)and she also meets the third criteria, and is someone who has made a unique and innovative contribution to the field of entertainment - she's a self made multi-millionaire entreprenenur at the age of 31 who also happens to be the mother of one child (soon to be two). Christina is shattering stereotypes and inspiring the rest of us working Moms that anything really is possible. AidaAnne5 (talk) 20:07, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the General Notability concern that someone tagged here. El Moussa is the co-host of a very popular TV show - one I myself watch. I came to Wikipedia to find out more about her. She's definitely notable! The article itself does need improvement, though. (It's basically identical to the article of her husband, Tarek El Moussa.)

I agree that both Tarek and Christina should stay in Wikipedia. They host a prime-time TV show; that's pretty notable. I wonder if the original person has some other agenda. 24.178.98.98 (talk) 22:34, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is no agenda, its WP policy. If you read WP:N and most specifically WP:ENT you can see that they do not meet the requirements. - GalatzTalk 00:38, 21 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I also feel that Tarek and Christina's Wiki pages SHOULD NOT be deleted. Flip or Flop is extremely popular, and YES, they both have a HUGE cult following, which is one of the notability requirements for celebrities. These people have had featured stories in People Magazine, have been featured on The Doctors, and Tarek's public battle with thyroid cancer has has amplified the public conversation around thyroid cancer. HGTV has also commissioned a spin off show called Flip or Flop: At Home, and the two have served as judges on Brother vs. Brother. Tarek and Christina meet ALL of these criteria: Entertainers Actors, voice actors, comedians, opinion makers, models, and celebrities: Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions. Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following. Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment. See WP:MUSIC for guidelines on musicians, composers, groups, etc.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryannjean (talkcontribs) 23:07, 4 June 2015 (UTC) Ryannjean 23:17, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think this should stay up - Christina is notable, she is a celebrity and has been featured in a large number of national media - Print and TV. Christina and Tarek huge social media following and in every way are public figures who deserve their own individual wikipedia pages. Please don't delete these pages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JenBean1 (talkcontribs) 19:36, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why this article is in deletion process, Christina is getting noticeable. This article is about her life, not about the show nor the fans, it is well-documented. The article doesn't break any rule nor policies regarding pages that are kind of biographical, also for this type of pages wikipedia encourages publishing material relevant to the person's notability, focusing on high-quality secondary sources. External sources like people.com or myfoxla.com are considered high-quality sources. --Jakeryanadler (talk) 03:46, 2 July 2015 (UTC) Absolutely notable enough. There are articles on other HGTV personalities, like Hilary Farr, Drew Scott, etc. The Wiki "purists" need to lighten up. There are articles on enough minutiae pet-projects that certainly this is acceptable. 66.67.32.161 (talk) 02:02, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should we delete the Net Worth section?

[edit]

How relevant is that in an encyclopedia? Does Britannica have a section like this? And is the article cited even reliable?? It does not even cover the period after their divorce, which may have affected her net worth.

I think we should delete that.

Your thoughts Galatz?

Peter K Burian (talk) 18:15, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes delete. .....in fact delete all over. The sources are not reliable and they claim this bt stating they have reach these numbers with limited sources.--Moxy (talk) 23:09, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the same Christina?

Article name change?

[edit]

Since she changed her name legally to her new husband's last name, should the WP article name also change? Jooojay (talk) 05:02, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Close as disruptive; two moratoriums. 1). A full moratorium on move discussions for three months. 2). Nobody may initiate a new discussion for a minimum of six months after they have previously started one. This RM discussion was started eleven days after a previous discussion was closed. Whilst consensus can change, it doesn't change that quickly. Timrollpickering (Talk) 20:39, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Christina El MoussaChristina Anstead – After having had failed to support move in the last RM discussion, multiple number of sources use Christina Anstead and these are the examples: [1], [2]. With that, it will use her current marriage name from now. ApprenticeFan work 22:18, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When her publisher and People Magazine accept her name change, WP has to follow. Evem more so, considering the demands presented by WP:Biographies of Living People. Ms Haacks personality rights would be violated if her publicly acknowledged name change would not find expression here.

Life in TN

[edit]

I have lived my entire 66 years in TN and love it. I love the show where you buy the home in my home state . I was raised in Middle TN and attended MTSU in the mid 70’s . Yes, you are the age of my youngest child!! But , I must say I’m the one that loves home renovation and decorating of the family .I would never ask for an address , but by looking you look to be somewhere around Columbia , Franklin Or maybe going toward Murfreesboro. I now live on the river in Savannah for the last 43 years . Middle TN is much prettier than here . I’ve always admired your ability to bounce back and be the woman I strive to be and what I instilled in my daughter . I was never happily married ( even after 2marriages ) but daily insisted she have a profession that she could support herself and NEVER depend on a man only have one if she wanted one . I’m very pleased to say she graduated from Belmont school of Medicine with a doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy . I say all This to say I’m an independent woman as you are . May you continue to love TN and all the fun of Franklin and Nashville . Be sure to go to Walton Jewlery store in the wonderful town of Franklin. It’s all estate Jewlery . If you need a tour guide please let me know . Love all you shows , particularly now that you are in your own! Public Speaking

[edit]

I have watched the Jacuzzi commercials, where Christina Hall is the commentator, over and over and listening to it is like hearing some one scratching a blackboard with their fingernails.

When I was in grade school, we were taught that when you ask a question, you raise the pitch of your voice at the end of the sentence, indicating that you are asking a question. If this is true, in the Jacuzzi commercial, Christina Hall must be asking a question in almost every sentence that she says. She raises the pitch of her voice in so many places that it shouldn’t be raised.
I’m sure in her daily life, she doesn’t speak that way. Maybe she should read the script again, and when she sees a question mark, that’s when she should raise the pitch of her voice.
Christina is a very pretty woman, but the way that she speaks in the commercial, makes me want to change the channel. 32.211.74.252 (talk) 15:41, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

IT IS SO WRONG!

[edit]

Christina Hall is promoting "Jacuzzi Bath Remodeling" and making big money on doing their commercials. The problem is that she would NEVER put one in any of the homes she remodeled, so I find it very misleading and shameful that she promotes something she would never use herself. I say this because I myself would never buy a home that had a Jacuzzi Bath Remodel used in place of a real bathroom remodel. 68.170.218.58 (talk) 20:54, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
