Sectarianism

[edit]

A big problem with many of these articles on moral theology is that it cites opinions in a way that is very sectarian, with a plurality of views going to liberal or modernistic thinkers within various denominations. Certain marginal denominations are actually made to specifically accomodate these non-traditional views, such as United Church of Christ or the Episcopal Church, and scholars from these denominations are cited in a disproportionate way. Regardless of this, it should be said that the majority view (or consensus view) tends to follow to school of thought of the pro-life movement, i.e. that life should be valued at such an extent that risky experimentations which may be harmful to human health should most likely be discouraged.
