[edit]CWM may be headed by Powell, but is an ASSOCIATION of like minded preachers and authors. If you search through the 100's of artciels online by many many different church groups you will see that it is not the promotion of one man, but of a movement mainly stading against Hillsong (Australia) which has become a mega church and Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and other false teachers.
Many ministers have left the AOG and are now associated with CWM. So CWM is a 1) Church association or denomination (most in the group dislike the term denomination) 2) an affiliation of preachers and authors, many like Dave Hunt or Aeron Morgon (Former head of the UK AOG), 3) a publisher - publishing CETF Quarterly and also many tracks, books CD's of many diverse preachers and authors from many denominations.
"Christian Witness Ministries Fellowship" is a church group in which Philip Powell is Pastor in Brisbane Australia, but this is not to be confused with "Christian Witness Ministries" which is a worldwide association.
So I hope you can see that this is not an "Advertisement article" but a multitude of different things. Philip Powell just happens to be the founder and head. Within Christianity CWM is widely respected as a watchdog ministry. CWM also has an 8000+ email list which regular news articles and updates are sent to many church leaders (this is besides regular newsletters).
So it maybe unknown to secular news but within Christianity CWM is one of the loudest and well respected watchdog ministries around today.
