Springcleaning in winter

Something must have slipped under the radar. While I was dusting off this article, I found a newer article had been lurking below the Categories section, apparently causing itself to become invisible in this way, except in the text editor. Unfortunately, what I found was very raw material replete with many kinds of errors (spelling, syntax, markup, etc.) and bits of information already covered in the main body of the article, including a separate bibliography section. I've tried to incorporate what seemed useful, most of which is now in the Analysis section, and although the result is still far from satisfactory, the article has gone a long way from the previous mess.
