This page used to be an informal page on several people with the name of Chris Bathgate, lacking references and substance. Here is the old page:
Bassist, guitarist, keyboard player and occasional vocalist with a number of Scottish bands including Arab Strap, Degrassi, Ganger and the Zephyrs. Also fronts his own band Sans Trauma.
other Chris Bathgates:
A Christian Singer Songwriter From New Zealand,
A Sculptor from Baltimore MD: www.chrisbathgate.comwiki here
A singer songwriter from Ann Arbor MI, www.myspace.com/chrisbathgate; http://www.quitescientific.com/chris1.htm
The first three persons do not appear to be prominent enough to warrant their own pages. I removed these uncited persons and replaced the page with a full, heavily referenced page on the only prominent Chris Bathgate, the last one, the singer songwriter from Ann Arbor (he holds almost all top search results for the term "Chris Bathgate"). Now, people can find the most sought-after Chris Bathgate while avoiding confusion.
If someone wants to make a disambiguation page and full pages for the other persons by the name of Chris Bathgate, by all means go ahead. If you do, I'd recommend listing the singer songwriter from Ann Arbor as the main "Chris Bathgate", so that people searching "Chris Bathgate" are directly linked to his page without having to look through the disambiguation page.Rosebud45 (talk) 08:01, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
