Is "chopi" a proper name?
[edit]Does anyone know if "chopi" is a proper name? I left it capitalized in the article, but don't know if that was right. Chopi does not seem to mean anything in English, Spanish or Portuguese and I couldn't find any place name in the Americas that it refers to. It could come from an indigenous language. I couldn't find an etymology of the name in any bird related sources. The Chopi people are in Mozambique, which is on the far side of Africa, so I don't think that has anything to do with this bird.
