This article was previously written (including a not-strictly-necessary discussion of extremely conservative hardline bands), in such a way as to make it as confusing as possible as to what Chokehold's actual views were (without actually going so far as claiming that Chokehold were conservatives and not liberals). This article also used to have a sentence that made it sound as if in Firestorm Earth Crisis sang vigilanteism in the causes of animal rights or radical ecology, when what the song is really about is vigilanteism against drug-dealers and criminals. Karl from Earth Crisis has said that the song is about the Black Panthers standing up to gangs who had infested black neighborhoods (perhaps, in my opinion, just to make it clear that the song is supposed to be racist).
I edited those parts of the article to make them a lot clearer. There are some hardcore and punk bands that are liberal and some that are not, just like there are liberal lawyers or law professors one the one hand, and lawyers and law professors who are conservatives on the other. Just so no one gets confused. Swan Mc (talk) 17:19, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Swan Mc[reply]
