Merge proposal
[edit]Propose merging with Chloramine-T which is just the sodium salt. I'd prefer a merger under the chemical name tosylchloramide (unless there is an International Nonproprietary Name I am not aware of). --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 07:26, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
- Done. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 21:18, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
- The correct full english rINN is however not Chloramine-T (that being a common but trivial synonym) or tosylchloramide, but Tosylchloramide Sodium (see e.g. ATC D08AX or Martindale 35, as of June 2006), as neither the parent protonated (acidic) form (which is unstable upon storage) nor other than sodium salts of Chloramine T are marketed or registered/pharmacopoeial. Chloramine-T is however a more common name of the substance in the chemical industry and its use as a surface and environmental disinfectant, since it has only a limited use as a drug really.
