Proposed merge of Draft:Chloe Chua into Chloe Chua

[edit]

Draft contains some information not in article. Robert McClenon (talk) 06:18, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think it would be wonderful to merge articles. Although I have made a couple of articles, I am fairly new to the editing world so please excuse me for any troubles that may cause. What exactly is the process of merging articles? -- JeffreyViolin (talk) 16:27, 21 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Robert McClenon, are you asking for a histmerge or regular merge (redirect)? The content can be combined or moved over from the draft regardless. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 14:51, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
User:AngusWOOF - A regular merge, to be done by normal editing. I don't see the need for a vote or a !vote on whether to merge. Just move information from the draft to the article. This is a case where the draft and the article were developed independently and should be pulled together. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:00, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Chloe Chua

[edit]

I find this quite interesting, I thought Chloe Chua was certainly someone that should have their own article on the subject of nobility and seeing how Christian Li already has his own article. I thought it was fair to see someone like Chloe Chua have a proposed deletion of the article. You could are argue that Christian Li is more famous and was the became the youngest musician to sign with the label with Decca, but I would contest that Chloe Chua has certainly been gaining in popularity with her recent debut on the Twosetviolin Channel and not surprisingly, they both won first place in the Menuhin Competition showing that although Christian Li may be higher in popularity levels, their playing level should be worthy and notable enough to match each other. -- JeffreyViolin (talk) 3:30, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Another thing to add, their nobility is shown with their competitions wins and Junior competitions wins in well known prestigious competitions like the Menuhin Competition are, in my opinion, can match senior prizes in other competitions. There is competition between the Juniors just as there is in Seniors. Chloe Chua also has been a soloist at the singapore symphony and has been selected by the Embassy of Singapore in Ankara to record a rendition of the Turkish National Anthem in celebration of Turkey's Republic Day. Her talent is noticed and it should also be noticed by Wikipedia (forgive me if this doesn't contest as a reasonable or the right kind of basis why this page should not be deleted). If you could, please elaborate why this person does not hold the requirements for nobility. -- JeffreyViolin (talk) 3:47, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

JeffreyViolin, Kohlrabi Pickle, you may want to reiterate these points at the AFD that was brought up, using WP:MUSICBIO crtieria. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 19:00, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Appearing on Twoset's show or being praised by Twoset doesn't make the person notable. She does have coverage of the appearance though from FTV News and The Violin Channel. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 19:01, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I recongize that, my previous point was to just state that the appear on Twosetviolin's channel has seen a rising the amount of attention she is receiving. JeffreyViolin (talk) 3:25, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Violin

[edit]

Chloe plays an Italian violin: then perhaps it is better to write the name Pietro Guarneri in Italian and not Peter Guarneri--Ricce (talk) 23:56, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ricce, the magazine reference says "Peter Guarneri". Is there another magazine or newspaper that says Pietro? It can also be generalized to Guarneri if there's only one that makes violins. Also is it Pietro Guarneri or Pietro Giovanni Guarneri? AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 00:04, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Both of them. Everyone knows them as Pietro; like Stradivari for example. I think it is better not to translate people's names, or we could say "Luigi Fortebraccio" instead of Louis Armstrong or "Roberto Fordossa" instead of Robert Redford. This is a case where a note or font is totally useless because it is a common heritage concept. In any case, if you want, leave it as "Peter". I was just trying to improve the article. --Ricce (talk) 03:07, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are the mentions of TwoSet really necessary?

[edit]

Is there really a need to mention TwoSet. I think it makes it quite unprofessional and does not necessarily contribute anything of value to the article itself. 2001:1C05:2212:1900:2180:E715:C997:136C (talk) 21:22, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The paragraph should be removed. Verifiability does not guarantee inclusion, and it seems like a trivial thing to mention. intforce (talk) 21:40, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it can be removed. Even though she's done multiple videos with them, it's not like that's enough to consider her an associated act. She hasn't toured with them or is a regular part of their YouTube channel, like with Sophie, Producer Shaun, Jordon He, or Olaf. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 21:53, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
