Title
[edit]Shouldn't the title of this page really be "Chit Fund", not just chit? A chit is just really a ticket used for the auction historically. --Ewhite77 22:53, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

- Indeed, it seems probable that they have. We can see that it includes content added in this series of edits, but also content that was present in the article prior to that. Other sources may have been copied in the creation of this article, but given that fact it seems unlikely that we copied from them. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:09, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

There are tax benifits with Chit Funds.
For example : if you have money in the bank, interest earned by the money is taxable. Where as in Chit Fund amount that you have saved on monthly basis is not taxable. Apart that of you happen to take the money out during the auction and if you have a loss that loss can be deducted from taxable income. These are some of the benifits for it. Fraud is one bad thing about the Chit Funds. Make sure you select right reputed Chit company if you decide to try the Chits. |
