Does not explain how the chimeric RNA is produced
[edit]It only says "However, occasionally gene products or pre-mRNA transcripts are spliced together so that exons from different transcripts are mixed together in a fusion product known as chimeric RNA" and doesn't say if that splicing is accidental (and never helpful) or if there is some evolutionary conserved mechanism to encourage/produce useful fusion proteins. - Rod57 (talk) 11:34, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
