new organization logo
[edit]This organization created a new logo earlier this year. I uploaded the new logo to Wikimedia commons, but I am having trouble getting the logo uploaded to the actual Wikipedia page. Could someone help me out? The new logo is here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Packerfan00 (talk • contribs) 20:18, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
article neutrality
[edit]The article is written as if it is a brochure, which doesn't seem "neutral" to me...
Agreed. Also, It has no reputation or real presence in Kansas City. Genetikbliss (talk) 01:01, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
children international workers trained by used car salesmen?
[edit]I praise those involved in charities. There are many that do a lot of good. I believe that Children International is one of them, but I question their techniques for getting donations.
In Portland, Oregon their workers are at places with heavy pedestrian traffic like Portland State University, downtown shopping areas. They come at you with big smiles, shaking your hand, and laying on heavy guilt trips.
That was my experience anyway. I found the experience similar to being trapped in an office booth at a car lot. The salesman circle around your conscience like hungry vultures, looking for a sign of death..in this case...a sign of doubt that your soul may be in jeapordy unless you commit to donate monthly.
Is this the best way to collect money ? I think not.
- I totally agree - they've got their proselytizing reps on street corners trying to guilt-trip you into sponsoring kids. But I don't think that they're really unique in that respect - all the other humanitarian organizations do the same thing. - matt lohkamp 20:53, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
The face-to-face fundraisers are not employees of CI. They're professional fundraisers, usually employed by DialogueDirect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.233.8 (talk) 22:31, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
