Changed tenses to reflect that CWDC is now in the past. While this is a very short article, it seems to me a useful record of CWDC - which was, after all, a short-lived organisation. I'm not sure that more detail would be particularly helpful to anyone other than perhaps an academic here or there. Yet I'd be reluctant to delete the article.
