[edit]- Cleaned up the page, removed the phrase "and was created by retreating glaciers approximately 12,000 years ago." as that's the exact phrase a Chicopee PR person used to reply to an online review, plus it's a statement of questionable fact that's mostly irrelevant, as that could be said of any ski hill in the area. Really, it's more of a PR statement to address the popular nickname "Mount Trashmore" which came about from rumors that Chicopee was built on a dry landfill (people assume "landfill = garbage" nowadays. I really doubt it since it was established in 1934 and I doubt that they would have trucked dirt way out there. There is the possibility that it was augmented though - I cannot verify that.
- Also removed "call for more information" on the bottom of the page which incicates someone either copy & pasted text or re-wrote PR copy.Korbitz (talk) 18:38, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
- considering how newsworthy it is to add broken neck story http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/therecord/access/497294041.html?FMT=ABS&FMTS=ABS:FT&date=Mar+3%2C+1995&author=&pub=The+Record&edition=&startpage=B.1&desc=Teen+breaks+neck+on+ski+hill Korbitz (talk) 02:13, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Longest Run
[edit]Front is listed as the longest run, even though it's been closed for a while now after the lift broke down. I feel like this is an issue with this page but not sure how I'd fix it (What to replace it with etc.)
