[edit]Some of the first things that struck me was the amount of information specifically around the style of Chick Strand's work. That was a very nice addition to the piece. I find it does a good job of detailing their importance without becoming overly slanted one way or another to contributions they have made throughout their career. I did wonder if maybe there was another term that could be used for the Biography section. Maybe something more like Early Life or Personal Life. I like the number of links you are able to make within the article, it gives prominence to the feature of your article and helps with notability. I think the sources you have used also ensure that Chick Strand's importance in film will be noted. The Filmography is very extensive and I like how you have worked in links to existing pages here too. EverydayGirlDad (talk) 19:12, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The article has a substantial amount of information and is very well detailed, in the life, work and legacy of Strand. All sections of the article are of similar length, giving all the different sections importance and not favoring one section over the other. The lead section is also very well don as it is easy to read and highlights the most important aspects of the article. The article is also written in a neutral tone, which ensures that no bias is given to Strand. Specifically, the “work” section is very well done. It provides great detail in the highlights of Strand’s career, including details about some of her most famous and well-known work. In terms of things that can be improved, there are some minor grammatical errors, specifically, in the “work” subsection. You should also consider changing the sub sections of the article to fit into the one’s suggested on the assignment prompt. For example, changing “work” to “Career” and “Life” to “Biography”

Founder of Canyon Cinema?
[edit]According to an uncited passage in this article, Chick Strand co-founded Canyon Cinema. According to both the Blaetz book and the Canyon Cinema website, however, Strand edited Canyon Cinema-news but was not a founder of Canyon Cinema: "In 1967, Bruce Baillie, Lenny Lipton, Robert Nelson, Larry Jordan, and Ben Van Meter founded Canyon Cinema." So I'm going to edit that part. --Rosekelleher (talk) 19:12, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
San Francisco Cinematheque
[edit]I edited an uncited sentence that claimed that Canyon Cinema "would later become" the San Francisco Cinematheque. If that's true, then why is there still a Canyon Cinema? Also, the San Francisco Cinematheque article mentions that it works with "other groups like Canyon Cinema" which means they're not the same thing. --Rosekelleher (talk) 19:27, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
