Meaning

The Commission de Toponymie says that sigsôg means "crags" or "rocky mountains," however, it's possible that they are mistaken (and even they possibly express some doubt in saying "according to the authors"). The French Wiki states that it means "impenetrable wall," though it doesn't provide a citation. Canadian Geographic supports this claim. I wonder if we could get a Mi'kmaq speaker to help us out? - Sweet Nightmares 16:53, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
