Oldest Social Fraternity

The article claimed that Chi Psi was the oldest purely social fraternity, in comparison to the literary societies present at the time. However, Chi Phi was founded at the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University) in 1824, seventeen years before the founding of Chi Psi. However, the current wording could be interpreted as Chi Psi being the first social fraternity at the University of Michigan, as opposed to all of the US. I've made the change removing the line of Chi Psi being the first social fraternity. Nanded 19:32, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

The Chi Phi article states that it was founded on religious and academic ideals. Chi Psi was founded solely for social purposes at Union College in 1841. Though Chi Phi is now considered a social fraternity, it was not so originally, so the Chi Psi distinction still stands. Expansion of page

hello all, I'm looking to expand this page for a project in my writing class (I'm a colonist at Psi Delta) looking for suggestions as to what to add, and how I might be able to reference some of this. Letters

It is worth mentioning that Chi Psi Fraternity officially does not allow the use of its letters in reference to the organization. In writing it is simply “Chi Psi”. This practice is not heavily followed by more recent members of the organization and comes from a time when the letters of the Greek alphabet were not widely known. Image:Bannerwshadow.gif is being used on this article. Wesleyan

Can someone please explain the entry in a table saying that the Wesleyan University chapter has been active since 2012? It disaffiliated from the national organization in the 1990s, its house ended up owned by the university, and the chapter was kicked out of the house in 2001 because of physical damage they had done to the building. As far as I know, the chapter is dead as a doornail. If there was some revival this year, I'd like to see citation for that. - Jmabel | Talk 01:41, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

University of Colorado, Boulder

Hello all, I noticed today that CU Boulder was listed as being an "Active" Alpha as of 2010, this is incorrect. Alpha Psi Delta is currently "colony" status and will not be active until the fall of 2011. Cheers, Pdxtwin (talk) 06:02, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
