PR?
[edit]The intro is too detailed and read/s like well worded PR (e.g. "Reached No 1 ..." "NYT bestseller list" [but subsidiary chart].) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jabberwoch (talk • contribs) 06:31, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Film version of "Wild."
[edit]The third paragraph of the Career section ends with the following: "Three months before her memoir was published, the actress Reese Witherspoon optioned it for her company, Pacific Standard.[12][15] Nick Hornby is adapting Wild for the screen, with Witherspoon scheduled to star as Strayed.[16]" After a paragraph about Oprah's bookclub, the section ends, IMMEDIATELY followed by the section below.
"Film Adaptation of Wild
The film adaptation of Wild is slated for release on December 5, 2014, starring the actress Reese Witherspoon as Strayed. The film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée and will be distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures. Witherspoon optioned Wild for film with producer Bruna Papandrea for their production company, Pacific Standard, a few months before Wild was published. The book was adapted for the screen by Nick Hornby. In October of 2013, the film went into production with Witherspoon in the lead. The cast includes Laura Dern (as Strayed's mother, Bobbi), Gaby Hoffmann, Thomas Sadoski, Michiel Huisman, and Kevin Rankin among others."
Am I the only one who finds this redundant? I personally feel the information in the Career section should be condensed, or eliminated completely. But, that's just me.
