Location
[edit]Where does it say where this mall is located?71.174.200.210 (talk) 22:46, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
In Cherry Hill, NJ? Along Route 38? I don't know how else to describe where the mall is located. Its surrounded by parking lots. Its 5 minutes from Philly. Amishjedi (talk) 01:59, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Outparcels? Anchors?
[edit]There will be many people pondering the meaning of Outparcels and Anchors which are used as subheadings. Wiktionary doesn't even mention the word outparcel, or give a meaning for anchor in the sense I think may be intended here. They need explaining. Moriori (talk) 21:26, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- An anchor is an Anchor store. It is pretty common terminology in the world of retail and malls, you will find the anchor heading on almost every mall page. As for outparcel, it is a newer term I suppose. The Oxford English Dictionary gives the technical definition as "a building lot separated or separable from a commercial development, the selling of which provides liquidity for the developer."[1]. Developers today are basically using the word outparcel as a retail building or restaurant separate from the main structure, but still on the same lot/property. PREIT (and many other company) lists them as Outparcels on their website. Hope that helped. Greekboy (talk) 03:54, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- Ta for that. You have explained what zillions of people would have no knowledge of. I have amended the article accordingly, especially linking anchor to Anchor store. Moriori (talk) 08:00, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
