Contested deletion

[edit]

Oh, this is ridiculous. The article contains absolutely no content that overlaps with the previously deleted one - I wasn't even editing when the previous one was deleted! Xuháska (talk) 15:00, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You're correct, the article is not substantively identical to the first deleted version, so it is not eligible for immediate speedy deletion. I've removed the template accordingly; the mere fact that an article has been previously deleted at AFD does not mean that any new version is always an automatic G4 delete, as there have been many instances where a topic attained greater notability and sourceability in the intervening period than they had at the time of the original discussion.
It's still not a foregone conclusion that she's attained enough greater notability yet than she had in 2014, so the AFD will have to be allowed to continue, but this article does contain new claims of notability (a book published in 2016 which garnered a literary award nomination) that were not present in the 2014 version, so the current version has to be evaluated on its own merits and cannot be speedied just because of the 2014 discussion. Indeed; the AfD nomination was pre-existing. Thanks for removing the CSD tag! Xuháska (talk) 17:08, 25 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cite needed

[edit]

I added a citation needed tag after "lawyer". A reader wrote to Wikimedia to inform us that she may have studied law but has not passed the bar, Which would seem to be a requirement for stating that someone is a lawyer.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:58, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In https://apihtawikosisan.com/2012/05/thinking-about-studying-law-consider-this/ and https://ualbertalaw.typepad.com/faculty/2018/03/an-interview-with-chelsea-vowel.html she self-identifies as not a lawyer, but she did get an LLB. 50.99.155.227 (talk) 00:21, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Since she does not identify as a lawyer and does not practice law, the "lawyer" part should be removed. Aquilessa (talk) 16:23, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
