Name/Location?

[edit]

There's a place nearby called Verkhniy Chegem, at 43°14′13″N 43°8′31″E / 43.23694°N 43.14194°E / 43.23694; 43.14194, at the elevation of about 1,900m, but it's 50km southwest of Nalchik and it doesn't look like 17k people. There's another place called Chegem Pervyy, at 43°33′46″N 43°35′1″E / 43.56278°N 43.58361°E / 43.56278; 43.58361, about 10km north of Nalchik, and another called Chegem 2-y, at 43°35′32″N 43°35′59″E / 43.59222°N 43.59972°E / 43.59222; 43.59972, a couple of km further north. Which one is this article supposed to be about?

The article is about the town of Chegem, located at 43°34′N 43°35′E / 43.567°N 43.583°E / 43.567; 43.583. Chegem Pervy is the old name of this town. Chegem-Vtoroy is just a village near the town. Anyway, I've changed the coords in the article slightly. Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 16:00, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
