where is stuff on the artist John Chatterton???

I suggest that the poet Thomas Chatterton is clearly the primary meaning, this should be moved accordingly. PatGallacher (talk) 01:02, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ChattertonChatterton (disambiguation) — This enables us to treat the poet Thomas Chatterton as the primary meaning of "Chatterton", which I suggest he is. PatGallacher (talk) 02:31, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All these from the disam page, except maybe the French album, are about Thomas Chatterton, an icon of the Romantic period, also the subject of famous later paintings etc. Does that help? The various other Chattertons are also thoroughly obscure.
He also has 71k ghits [1], and book-length biographies were published in 1789, 1806, 1851, 1930, 1948, 1959, 1963, 1980, 1989, 1993, a book of essays in 2001, plus countless editions of the poetry. [2] There was also a German play in 1887. The article gets a steady 5k odd views a month. Johnbod (talk) 19:00, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reply Thomas Chatterton is a fairly well-known figure, I have seen significant mention of him at various places over the years, just off the top of my head he has been the subject of at least one painting and poem ("I dreamed of Chatterton, the marvellous boy", note that the author felt able to just describe him as "Chatterton") and I also saw a one-man play about his life at the Edinburgh Festival. The others are quite obscure and I had never heard of them before. PatGallacher (talk) 19:41, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
