Merged
[edit]The following content was moved from the talk page of the article on the gold dredge, now moved here:
Merger, or moving the page, or something
[edit]As I pointed out at the AFD, although multiple sources were unearthed they say almost nothing of substance other than how to find this thing. Therefore the article is doomed to remain a brief stub. Several merge or move options were discussed but no consensus was reached. The options brought up at AFD were:
- Merge to Chatanika, Alaska
- Merge to article on Chatanika Gold Camp, which is odd because that article does not yet exist
- Move to Historic Fairbanks Exploration Company Gold Camp and begin a real article on that subject

- This is what I hate about AFD. All these folks rush in to defend this article while it at AFD, but nobody gives a shit after and this article sits here in this sorry state with only the guy who wanted to delete it apparently still paying any attention. Dredge destroyed by fire
[edit]I'm just a lurker and am uncomfortable attempting to edit as yet, but I thought I'd mention this. The dredge was destroyed by fire on 8/3/13. http://www.newsminer.com/news/local_news/historic-chatanika-dredge-destroyed-by-fire-nd-fire-reported-at/article_f5a26eb6-fccf-11e2-bac2-001a4bcf6878.html Bugpoetry (talk) 16:04, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
