Inconsistencies over his initial career in Madness
[edit]It says that he was the lead vocalist on the single One Step Beyond (he was), yet also that he joined Madness in 1980 - but the One Step Beyond single was released in November 1979, so he must have joined in (late) 1979?
Further though, I believe that he isn't on the cover of the One Step Beyond album (the other 6 members are on it) - but he is on the next album cover (Absolutely) with the other 6 members. Certainly there are 6 Madness members shown on the cover of One Step Beyond and 7 on Absolutely.
So his initial membership seems to have occurred in stages, but the article should clarify.

[edit]Anyone know the Hampden Roar about Chas's real monicker? A lot of web pages say "Carl Smyth", including this page, but a lot of official Madness credits say "Cathal Smyth". Make up yer bacon rind, numpties! ;-) Pollythewasp (talk) 11:09, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
