This article contains histoical information about an important source of historic aircraft whcih are found in many important aviation musuems. There is also information about historic activities at Charlotte Douglas Airport, Delta Airbase, Maxton and other airfields in the area.
I am going to continue to add more information which will be a useful source for people that are involved in aviation museums and historic aviation artefacts.
Jenks Caldwell Sr was very important in aviation in North Carolina, but I need more time to build up this informaiton.
As an aviation museum professional and aviation artifact researcher I believe that it is important that this article is retained and expanded so we can trace the history of a number of artifacts as well as an important part of North Carolina's aviation history.
Caldwell did a lot of work with USAF Korean War ace Dolph Overton and others.... was involved in Wings and Wheels... we need to document that history and we need people to see this on Wikipedia and add to this... so much was lost at Florence and Wings & Wheels and other locations... a lot of famous NC & SC aviators were involved with these guys... we need to document this —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sadorsch (talk • contribs) 04:51, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
I think you are over stating the case a bit. Mr Caldwell was a scrap dealer, not a lot more and nothing less. But if you can prove what you say with references, then I am sure the article will survive.Petebutt (talk) 08:22, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
