[edit]RE: "his forthright views on Scottish football have earned him many enemies, both amongst players, due to his regular tirades against the Scottish national side, and amongst some fans". This needs to be verified with a reference. I happen to like Charlie Nicholas.--Nicholas 16:31, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
How do you score 50 goals in 1 season yet only score 48 in your whole time at a club?
[edit]At Celtic until the end of 1983. . . . career stats of 48 goals.
Yet he had a superb 82-83 season scoring 50 goals???? MAGIC!!! 2.124.20.6 (talk) 12:28, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- Only 29 of his goals in 1982-83 were in the league, and the table clearly states at the bottom 'Senior club appearances and goals counted for the domestic league only.' Swaddon1903 (talk) 14:50, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Turned down Celtic in 1987?
[edit]According to Charlie's own Shoot column, they never even made an offer for him—much to his chagrin: https://flickr.com/photos/114058793@N05/53488142503/in/photostream/ Scherben808 (talk) 16:18, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
