Background

[edit]

Is his father British, or was the family simply living there when he was born? --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:29, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Living there at the time, I believe Gordon Kimball's GrandPrix.com profile identifies Gordon as a Californian. And his own website seems to nail his colours to the mast - "Kimball has a history of breaking the mold. Prior to his diagnosis, in 2005 Kimball shattered the European stereotype that "Americans are not fast" by becoming the first American in 11 years to win a British Formula 3 race." Not 100% sure where his mother is from though--MartinUK (talk) 23:12, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Diabetes

[edit]

Although it is rather vague in a medical sense, should we have a Wiki category for racing drivers, or perhaps athletes in general, who compete as diabetics? We know of Kimball, Daly, and Ryan Reed in the present day, and have now learned that Don Branson, Count Wolfgang von Tripps, and Howdy Wilcox II were diabetics who raced at the highest levels. 71.93.49.56 (talk) 05:38, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You can consider requesting creation of such category at WT:SPORTBIO. GenuineArt (talk) 05:40, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
