[edit]This article is full of unverified - and defamatory - allegations of torture and other illegal action. These must be removed unless they can be verified.203.184.41.226 (talk) 07:34, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed, the alledged torture took place after Tegart retired. 192.226.166.112 (talk) 13:13, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
The guy was a British imperialist thug according to at least one source:
"prisoners were subjected to very harsh treatment, including beatings, foot whipping, electric shocks, denailing and what is now known as "waterboarding". Tegart also imported Doberman Pinschers from South Africa and set up a special centre in Jerusalem to train interrogators in torture."[Segev, 2000, p. 416]

Neutrality
[edit]Overall, the lead section of this article is filled with several loaded and inflammatory statements that are, frankly, not neutral in the slightest. The article itself even admits that its statements are mostly personal, using words like "hated". I will attempt to work on a rewrite of the lead section that will still be informative about Tegart's actions, but not as personally charged. Tanline666 (talk) 19:19, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
