"Ancram married Frances who was a Lady of the Bedchamber to Catherine, Queen Consort to King Charles II.[7] They had daughter, Anne, who married Colonel Nathaniel Rich.[8][9][10] Rich and Anne, his second wife, had no children.
The sources for the identity of Nathaniel Rich's second wife are contradictory:
- Morant's Essex says that she was Anne, daughter of Charles Kerr, 2nd Earl of Ancram.
- "Rich, Nathaniel (d.1701)" (DNB00) says that she was Anne Kerr, daughter of Robert, 1st Earl Ancram.
- "Nathaniel Rich" (Wikipedia) says that she was Elizabeth Kerr, daughter of the 1st Earl of Ancram.
- "Rich, Nathaniel" (ODNB) says that she was Elizabeth, daughter of the 1st Earl.
It seems that the ODNB (2024) has corrected itself since the DNB (1900). I'm going to remove the probably false statement from this article. --Heron (talk) 14:21, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
