Charles Grippo has had his plays produced in Illinois, Indiana, and New York. He is not just a local celebrity and someone doesn't have to be a celebrity in order to be important on the earth.
I am in Brooklyn, New York, and I have seen Charles Grippo's plays here, so he is not at all local to Chicago as you seem to suggest. When I went to research additional references for his page, I was struck by how many reputable, national publications have covered his works, and the many books issued by major publishers that have cited him. The publishers Thompson Gale thought he was notable enough to give him a biography in their "Contemporary Authors" Series. Even Wikipedia itself thought one of his plays WHEN ANGELS WEPT was notable enough to give it its own page. He has also been cited as a source in other Wikipedia articles. Just check out the references I have added to his page and you'll see. Chrislatoya (talk) 20:25, 12 April 2015 (UTC)Chrislatoya.[reply]
