The year of his death is not listed in this article, and the other details of his death are not easily corroborated. Doing some research I have been unable to find any obituaries, except for this reference in the Cult Observer Archives that appears to be verbatim where the line in the wikipedia article comes from. The archive article appears to be from October of 1991. It cites an article in August of 1991, but what information from the article is "from" that article is unclear, as the article preceeds the given date or Garry's death by two months. Other versions of this article exist without a "fram" typo, but this does not seem a reliable source. Time for a trip to the library.Gruber76 17:41, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additions but still need source for "Stroke" and time of death

[edit]

I added several new facts and cites. But there still isn't one listing the cause of death for Garry or the month of his death.Mosedschurte (talk) 10:40, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FACTUAL ERROR

[edit]

There are some significant factual errors in this article. 1. Charles Garry did NOT represent the Chicago 7. He was unable to represent Bobby Seale in that case due to his hospitalization for gall bladder surgery--Seale demanded a trial delay in order to be represented by Garry--Judge Julius Hoffman denied Seales request, and ordered him represented by William Kunstler, who along with Leonard Weinglass represented the other defendants in that case--Seale also demanded to be allowed to act as his own attorney which was also denied--Hoffman ordered Seale bound and gagged trying to silence his outbursts in court--Hoffman eventually severed Seale from the case-- 2. The other defendants in the Chicago 7 trial were NOT acquitted--Two were acquitted of all charges, the other 5 acquitted of conspiracy but CONVICTED of crossing state lines with intent to incite riot, and were sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. The convictions were overturned on appeal. Nothing but (talk) 14:50, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How could he have been born in 1909 in Massachusetts to people who had escaped the Armenian Genocide, which took place in 1915? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.234.230.51 (talk) 21:08, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
